Genetics Society Medals and Lectures
The Genetics Society awards four medals on an annual basis. Winners are chosen by the committee from membership nominations.
The prestigious Mendel Medal is awarded by The President, usually twice during their term of office.
Additionally, the Sir Kenneth Mather Memorial Prize is a prestigious joint award presented by The Genetics Society and the University of Birmingham.
A Centenary Medal was awarded for the first time in 2019 to celebrate the 100 years of the Genetics Society.
