General Information

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to participate in this very exciting meeting on Kidney and Prostate cancer. Both are diverse diseases ranging from small clinically insignificant tumours to advanced incurable malignancy. Early diagnosis presents challenges balancing the need to identify potentially aggressive cancers at a curable stage and at the same time differentiating these from insignificant disease for which patients may be overtreated. Their management is rapidly evolving with developments in our understanding of tumour biology, the emergence of conservative, surgical and non-surgical minimally invasive techniques for small tumours and the continuing evolution of new drug treatments for advanced disease.

In the meeting we will address the clinical issues and dilemmas in relation to small early-stage tumours, the timing of systemic therapy for higher risk and metastatic disease as

well as the timing and role of surgery and ablative therapies in this setting.

The meeting is open to all professionals who are involved in looking after women with breast cancer, including clinicians and senior nurses.
