General Information
PhD students from the Norwich Research Park and the University of Cambridge recognised their proximity not only geographically but also as leading centres in the fields of plant and microbial sciences and realised that we were not being given enough opportunities to interact. So, almost a decade ago, we took action. NoCaSS is organised for students, by students. It brings together early career researchers for a day of science and networking with the aim of establishing and strengthening connections between two world leading communities and sharing that knowledge beyond. Through two days of workshops, student talks, posters, and keynote speakers, we hope to establish young links between the institutes in Norwich and Cambridge as a basis for improved communication and collaborations in the future. We expect over a hundred PhD students and postdocs to attend NoCaSS, which will be held on the 24th and 25th April at SLCU (Sainsbury Laboratory Cambridge University). Most importantly, we want the symposium to be accessible to all by not asking for any registration fee from attendees.
