General Information
Join this international online workshop on using the methodologies, evidence and applications of genomics for investigating the impacts of climate change. We aim to develop best practices for applying genomic tools to assess vulnerability and to study adaptations to climate change. We hope outcomes may inform adaptive conservation management and promote the better integration of genomic approaches into climate change research and biodiversity conservation. This workshop will bring together international experts, junior scientists and everyone in between, working across a variety of ecological systems.
Programme
The workshop is split into morning and afternoon sessions to accommodate participants across different time zones. Each day will focus on a different theme and will include a combination of invited speaker talks and talks selected from abstract submissions. These will be followed by breakout room discussions and online poster sessions, with prizes for the best student talk and poster.
Day 1 Methods: Exploring methods to assess vulnerability to climate change using genomic tools
Day 2 Evidence: Adaptation and resilience, including evidence of genetic adaptations to climate and climate change and genetic impacts of range shifts
Day 3 Applications: Approaches to monitoring genomic responses and changes under climate change and applications in policy and conservation management
Deadline for submissions: 26 August 2022
