Mendel’s 200th

To mark the 200th birthday of Gregor Mendel, the Society organised the following events and activities.
Mendel’s 200th Birthday Garden Party (see the gallery here; the talks by our medal and award winners can be viewed here).
The society held the ‘Hap-pea Birthday Mendel’ artwork competition where primary and secondary schoold pupils in the UK were invited to submit artwork based on Mendel’s discovery of the rules of inheritance.
The journal Heredity featured entries from the competition on it’s July 2022 issue. The winner is revealed here; all submitted works can be found in the gallery)
